Here’s what is changing: Larger hdr oled screen

    20-30% more battery life

    Easier to take apart

Nicer case with the terabyte premium models

    Wi-Fi 6e

    Better thermals (bigger fan)

Slightly better touch responsiveness and haptics

Dedicated Bluetooth antenna for better connection to other devices

Some other minor updates to hardware (no significant performance changes)

    90hz screen A bit lighter

    Bluetooth 5.3

So I should probably wait to get one of these?

Old one is still solid (and now discounted) but this offers some nice, mid-generation upgrades. If you already have one, or want one at a discount, stick with the old model, otherwise this is a nice upgrade for basically the same price.

Unless I’m misunderstanding something, the one that is now being sold for $400 used to be $550. All the LCD models have dropped in price (with the 64 GB and 512 GB models being discontinued) and the OLED filling in the now open higher price tiers.

It’s still a great device, this one is an incremental improvement on a 2 year old device

I have had mine since launch and this refresh is making me considering upgrading.

It’s great of you don’t have one. However if you do this isn’t big enough to buy again. I’m guessing 2025 for the deck 2
