Mone would be my guess, and a hope that this means more than 1 women’s match per show.
But for a complete off the wall choice, Chris Hero and a reformed Kings of Wrestling.

Granted he turned out incredible in the end but fuck me what is it with TK and setting expectations like this.
They literally announced Kota Ibushi signed on Wednesday without warning, that’s a very hard bar to clear.
I find it odd that he specifically says AEW fans…so my guesses are Ospreay, Mercedes Mone (she was at All In, I guess that counts?) or a “re-signed” Punk.

After Mercedes Mone’s “I will be wrestling at a wrestling company in the future” press release a wee while ago, I’d be leaning towards it being her out of those two, but they’d be my guesses for certain.
TK is pretty terrible at hitting the right level of hype for announcements though, so lets wait and see if it turns out to be a Legends-type contract for Mick Foley that guarantees us comedic Christmas segments.
Very true about that last part. And man, I’d love to see Foley do some comedy stuff in AEW.
Drew McIntyre might be a possibility. Freddie Prinze has been saying his contract is up real, real soon, and hinted that he might go elsewhere. Might be sooner than we think.
