Now do City.
And Chelsea
Too right mate. Get ‘em all done. Fair football or no football.
They can give Everton an immediate reduction but not Manchester City
Difference is that City are challenging the finding (rightly or wrongly) - Everton didn’t.
Thanks for the clarification.
Burnley, Luton, and Sheffield United are so bad that I don’t think Everton are in any real trouble when it comes to surviving this season. In a weird way, this deduction comes at a good time for them.
Ouch. That’s harsh.
I suppose, in a way it’s come at a decent time - they’ve been going ok, and have loads of time this season to get themselves clear of relegation, especially the teams at the bottom doing so badly so far.
Yeah in a lot of ways you can say this has worked out perfectly for Everton. Getting the deduction during either of the two previous seasons (which is when the breach was actually happening) would have resulted in a guaranteed relegation, this year they look solid under Dyche and there are several teams that are absolutely atrocious so they should stay up no problem.
Of course, they are also being sued for damages by at least three clubs, so that might still hurt them pretty badly depending on the outcome.
Glad they finally went and did it so Everton can know where they stand. Not much was being reported from the usual places I read compared to other breaches by other clubs this season and in the past so was thinking northing was going to happen this season. But comes at a time when Dyche has the team doing well and injuries aren’t out of hand… yet
That is brutal. They’re now on four points!
Finally, they’ve done one of the most egregious cheats in the prem. Liverpool, City, United, and Chelsea can sleep well again.
That hurts.
