Lmfao - thinks they’re making an edgy point, in reality is just playing along with the corporate propaganda of shifting responsibility and pretending those making the decisions and those trapped under them are in any way comparable… 🤦‍♀️🙄

I was thinking the same thing. I never shame you’re average countryside Joe who has to drive dozens of miles to work. He doesn’t have a choice if there aren’t any public transports.

Did you not notice gas prices tanking during the pandemic when we weren’t consuming nearly so much? Think the oil companies will just keep extracting if we quit buying?

Ah yes, and how do you exactly keep on not buying it if there are no alternatives? Many people don’t have any alternatives or the ones they have are much more inconvenient than going by car.

If this is supposed to be a supply and demand thing, first give us a decent supply of alternatives and you’ll see the trends of demand shifting.

I work for a place that rebuilds obscure industrial equipment. You don’t know the scale of stuff that is wasted in just one oil refinery. It’s considerably more than what one person trying to drive a car to work will use in their lifetime.
