There is a valid point hiding somewhere within this meme, but perhaps you should go and try to conceptualise for yourself the difference in scale of not only wealth, but power between the top 10% and the “middle” 40.

Again, like in the spiderman meme - pretending the two are in any way comparable (especially when talking about a global scale rather than just western/developed/whatever countries) only serves to shift blame away from those with all of the power and who make the rules for the rest, on to the rest.

I would suggest taking a minute to think with yourself why you’re so eager to participate in their blame shifting game, and why so reluctant to hold those actually responsible, responsible.

Gotta factor in cost of living. I completely agree that Americans (like myself) tend to take for granted how privileged we are. But you really can’t apply any single number to the nation when cost of living varies so wildly. And COL doesn’t typically take loan debt into account either, which on average increases with income and is a huge burden on current working age Americans.

20% of my take-home pay (not gross pay) disappears into the void of loan debt.

Thats the crazy thing. I work from home and havent taken a flight in almost 5 years. I fill up gas about once a month because I rarely leave. Our electric bill has us on the very low end of usage. I spent 6 years living out of an RV without moving it… it would take me the rest of my life on private jets to come close to a millionaires impact… im sure other people at 100k are the same so why lump us in other than to deflect from people who are far more wasteful?

Is “making $100k in the US” any different than making $100k in other countries for deciding whether someone is part of the worlds richest 10%?
