BREAKING: Dominik Szoboszlai to Liverpool, here we go! Understand RB Leipzig are now informed that Liverpool have triggered the release clause. 🚨🔴🇭🇺 #LFC
€70m deal done, to be signed soon.
Personal terms agreed, Szobo’s ready for medical tests soon.
Huge signing for #LFC.
Not sure what to think of Liverpool yet for next season. Massive changes in midfield but Klopp usually likes to give players time to bed in before becoming starters.
Diaz’s health seems vital at the moment imo.
I think the general plan is to get back into the top 4 (+ Champions League) next year while the team adjusts & stabilizes to the new players (easier said than done…) and then make a run at the championship the year later.
Their midfield was non existent last year and they are at least addressing the issue. With the quality of players they have in attack and defense they should be able to secure a top 4 position, IF they stay healthy. I’m worried an injury or two to key players and they may struggle.
The fight for the top 4 is going to be interesting this year.

Yea it’ll definitely be interesting!
-
Liverpool going through a transitional phase, but they have quality both on and off the pitch.
-
Chelsea had a tumultuous year, but they’re having a major clear-out and a new manager. Perhaps they’ll turn it around next season, with a young squad and a manager that had historically done well with a younger squad that buys into his ideas.
-
Manchester United is undergoing a sale which has hampered their summer window business. Will the manager have enough time in pre-season with his new players to implement his style of play?
-
Newcastle have added an incredible midfielder in Tonali. He was the heart and soul of the Milan midfield, a great leader too. Newcastle can definitely challenge for top 4 again.
-
Spurs recently signed a new manager, although they’ve been struggling to build a coherent squad. Will be interesting to see how they get on.
-
Arsenal are coming off a very difficult season after losing out on the title in the final weeks in spectacular fashion. Will the young core be able to bounce back? The owners have gone all in and are investing heavily in multiple positions, showing great ambition while adding quality players. They will definitely challenge for top 4, possibly the league again.

City are City… an absolute machine that just won’t stop.
-
Personally think Villa are the dark horses to challenge for top 4 next year. Emery is cooking something special in Birmingham, can definitely see they make a cup run at least.
-
Allison Trent - van Dijk - Konate - Robertson Fabinho MacAllister - Szoboszlai Salah - Nunes - Gakpo Diaz/Jota/Thiago/Henderson/Elliot/Jones on the bench I’d say they need some solid defensive back-ups to push the starters but it’s a strong starting 11 for sure Best behind city I’d say
I can’t say I’ve watched many Leipzig games, but Szoboszlai seems like too much of an attacking player for what we (Liverpool) need in midfield?
Arteta used to chase this guy as a Xhaka replacement iirc
I thought the Hungarians are pretty much racist against the English?
