    As a note to anyone who’s looking at the photos in the article: that thin, orange cable is NOT a security cable, but one that reminds you that you have a lock installed.

    The reminder cable is usually a standard in all similar styles of locks because it would be bad to take off on your ride while you still have a wheel or disc brake lock installed.

    So the product is the combination of wheel lock and ground anchor. For that anchor you need a private property to attach that into the ground. But if you have a private property, you most likely also have a garage, shed, basement or whatever for your bicycle or motorcycle.

    In a city, without a private driveway, you also cannot just put an anchor into public ground.

    I don’t really understand this product. Where or how could this be used? E.g. are there local laws somewhere allowing to bolt that anchor piece into the public side walk?
