Why does one of the editors of the new anthology Critical Hits from Graywolf Press seem to think that there is no home for writing about video games from the personal, emotional perspective?
'Cause that’s just like your opinion, man.
Personally, for games, I want to see the facts. What’s the game, what does it do, how well does it do it? Anything else is like that fluff article at the top of a recipe telling me how great Peepaw’s cooking was while growing up and your totally, like, digging the vibes of this revival of an old family favorite. It does nothing to tell me about the game, other than it’s, like totally, the best thing you’ve played in ages and a breath of fresh air. Tell me about the game, not about it made you feel. Your opinion and take away from the game will likely be totally than what my take away will be, so why even waste your time?
