A New Jersey grand jury has indicted another corrections officer on charges stemming from alleged attacks on inmates at a women’s prison in 2021.

Sgt. Matthew Faschan, 35, of Hackettstown, was indicted on eight counts, including conspiracy, official misconduct, tampering with public records, and aggravated assault, said the NJ Office of the Attorney General.

The superseding indictment includes the prior charges against 14 other officers in the January 2021 incident at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women.
