          I think I only ever saw 1 episode of that show.

          However I do know that that the guy who played Gilligan had previously acted as Maynard G Krebs, who was the basis for Shaggy from Scooby Doo. Shaggy, of course, was voiced by Casey Kasem who was Lebanese-American. The capitol of Lebanon is Beirut, which is a port city known as a gateway between continents… just like Miami. Kinda makes ya think, doesn’t it?
