The article is really badly written. It’s like the edge lord escaped from his mom’s basement.

That said Eric garner should not have had the carotid restraint used on him. The officer also did it incorrectly. The officer went from arrest to choking the man in a very short time frame.

Garner was not putting up a real resistance. Yes he wasn’t going along but he wasn’t really fighting. A few more minutes and he would have been in custody.

I’m not opposed to cops using the technique but only when it’s really needed. Not because they want to look cool.
