First half of the headline, I thought I was about to read about firefighters trying to disperse protestors. This is far better.

Finally, some reptile recognition and representation!
So, there are no stupid products, only stupid customers?

Joyce is the immigrant nanny who was picked up by ICE, not the regretful MAGA voter.
Look how long it took Team Cherry to make Silksong, and look what we got for it. Maybe this is a sign that ES6 will be a masterpiece and won’t be a buggy mess propped up by a rampant modding community willing to put in the work to fix it all.

I have an Acer Aspire One (very low spec mini laptop from ~2010) with 2GB of ram; it runs modern linux distros with xfce with better performance than it had running Windows 7 when it was new (which is what it came pre-installed with). Doesn’t run much modern software obviously but it does work for web browsing (firefox). It’s noticeably slow, but it always was.

Huh, TIL! Thanks for the explanation!

There is a brand of peanut butter here that has “WARNING: May contain nuts” on the label.
Seems completely plausible, as part of their rhetoric to turn people against drag queen story hour.

It’s pretty hard to lock only specific apps with this one, though.

Draft-dodging, in the US?
All I could think of. Maybe they’re using statistics from 1973.
Has Kamigawa vibes.
Someone a long time ago pointed out that they likely do it on purpose just to bait engagement from people saying basically exactly what you’re saying, and I think about it every time either the ridiculous censoring, or this style of objection come up.

Fair enough.

No more paywall.

That price is certainly not representative of what was actually available when I was booking. There were $99 tickets but only if you wanted to leave at 5AM or arrive after 4PM. If you want to leave between 8-10AM and arrive at a reasonable time, there were no coach options and business class was $200+.
I went and checked JetBlue before posting that and they had $101 flights that were listed at 1h 14m, so that’s what I was basing those numbers on.
Can’t find the Boston->NYC confirmation, but here’s one from around the same time from Penn Station in Providence. This was the cheapest seat available on this train; the cheaper ones were only available if you left before 6AM or after 11AM. This train got in at about 1:30 PM, so 3h 45m from RI.

Train stations definitely have less bullshit, but it’s a 5h trip vs a 1h trip in this case. I could have spent 3 hours in the airport before the flight each way and added 30 minutes to get from the train station to the airport and back, and still saved time by flying.
We don’t have high speed rail, either, so that trip would only take you (by my understanding) about 1.5-2 hours.

I could have sworn that it also included language that applied the tax if they leave the state, too, but even if that’s incorrect, who cares? Let them move. The more states that do something like this, the less places they’ll have as “safe havens” and if they move out of the country, cool, again, let them. It sends a clear message: If you won’t pay your share, we don’t want you here.
Once everyone collectively agrees that billionaires should pay their share, there will be nowhere left for them to run. It has to start somewhere.
It’s a very common inclusion in Zedruu the Greathearted commander decks. You play it and graciously donate it to someone with 20 or more life.
