Saw a music video performed by Haunt and the vocalist had a Satan shirt - matter of fact he wore several different Satan band tees through different shots lmao, so I had to check em out!

Loving the guitarwork a lot! Song structure is great too. My only complaint is the voice is like he wants to be James Hetfield but is shy about it? Idk like he’s lower in the mix or just generally very quiet.

Very different from the Protector post I made some months ago! Love the formative years when bands are testing out genre limits, reminds me a bit of early Kreator and some early Sodom, too, in addition to your being reminded of Morbid Saint. The pure hatred and raw aggression definitely come through with the infernal drumming and how fast the guitarist is going at it, let alone the vocals lol.

I was just spinning their latest album and find myself pleasantly surprised. Fat production like modern Exodus but still a few hints from their older stuff, also missing the industrial elements. I might post something from State of Emergency in a month or so if no one else does. That being said, I don’t really touch anything nu-metal so I was a little turned off of a few that I gave a chance.

Always thought his voice should move to one side or the other, and he has such a distinguished high pitched falsetto, so I too vastly prefer that vocal style in this music. Great classic overall though!

Fuck yea. I find myself adding this particular track to my liked playlist when I didn’t feel the need to do that for the original.

Hell yea, we could give it a good run, at least for a little while lol.

Possibly! Maybe like once a week, like I do the other metal communities I post to. I don’t have that much heavy metal material outside the classics and the recent discoveries I made, but posting once a week would at least last me a few months lol.

[email protected]’s mod hasnt been around for a couple years but the community is small but fairly active and loyal.

[email protected] is definitely active but they only really like specific kinds of death metal or only full albums or… idk I haven’t figured it out yet.

[email protected] is always gonna be there, I feel. But if you were to take over [email protected] I could always post random experimental shit in the former, could be interesting!

Definitely! I only fairly recently started getting over my aversion to crossover, thanks to taking a more hands-on role here of posting a track every single day. Some of the appeal of certain bands still eludes me, like Municipal Waste, but I’m definitely delving more into the genre as a whole, historically or otherwise.

Awesome and informative! Had no clue this was after they basically reinvented their sound. Called it classic since it seemed highly rated from nearly 30 years ago. Metal Archives placed them in a similar camp to Discharge, so I simply assumed they were always crossover thrash.
