  • Banff, Jasper, Yoho and the kooteneys. Mountains, hot springs, mountain biking, hiking, climbing and skiing in season. Canada is happy to welcome you.

Or the opposite side for a completely different experience. Gros Morne, Cape Breton highlands and kejimkujik in Nova Scotia. In between visit fortresses and national historic sites as the east coast is full of Canada’s founding history.

  • Half an hour every day. That’s video games or internet. Tv is more open but only in the evenings generally. That’s a reduction from 2 hrs a day which was causing problems honestly. They’ve managed it well and are much more active again. They play with one another more and there is less fighting. They’re 10 year old boy/girl twins and a 12 year old big sister.

That’s not to say that there aren’t complete Saturdays of movies or video games or extra time when it’s been a smooth day. Some people think we’re nuts but it works for our family and gets us all more active and involved with each other.

  • Absolutely it should. We grow a lot of our own and sell small amounts but even supplies to do so are being limited somewhat because many products come from US manufacturers. Massive scale farms will be severely affected by this with everything from tractors to seed. Increasing farms and reclaiming farmland from foreign ownership will also be necessary. Diversifying crops and animal rotations. Learning new ways that are more in line with environmental concerns and that will consume less energy and consumables. So many things to tackle and the perfect opportunity to do so.

  • They do. But I don’t buy them because I have chickens. There’s an article in Canadian news today that illegal fentanyl crossing the border has dropped by 34% but illegal eggs crossing is up by 116%. That’s from Canada to the US. I have chickens and a boat and ancestors who were rum runners. Perhaps an egg business is in order. 😂

  • I went grocery shopping yesterday here in Canada. The store is awesome. Shelves full of American products not touched. I needed broccoli for example. The cheapest broccoli was American. The area was heaped high with fresh green broccoli. Not one touched from the morning produce stock at noon. The only other option was broccoli from Guatemala. It was completely sold out. All gone. The produce guy says it flew off the shelves but don’t buy that other stuff. It’s American.
