The Steam Deck literally is a PC. If for some inane reason you can’t get it to do what you want you can install Windows on it.

I think the only reason emulation is “worse” on it than on PC can be that a desktop PC has more power. Almost all emulators in general usage are open source and have Linux versions.

There are also no problems with running pirated Windows games. By now the only games that are problematic on Linux are multiplayer games with kernel level anti cheat that hasn’t been configured to work on Linux.

The Steam Deck is better than the Switch in almost every aspect. It just doesn’t come with detachable controllers. That’s it.

So if you want a portable console with detachable controllers buy a Switch. Otherwise there is no reason not to get a Deck.

I find it even more strange that they couldn’t get the Xbox interface onto mainline Windows to make it more controller friendly.

My Quest 1 is still usable with free games from Sidequest and with PC VR. And all the while it’s disconnected from Meta.

I just wish they’d open up the firmware to let the community do even more with it. So in conclusion, never again.

Damn, how does the game run on the Steam Deck? I have that card in my desktop and so far it was vastly better than my Deck.

Ich sehe die Anzugträger regelrecht vor mir, während sie die Idee haben das ganze OS zu nennen. Und niemand kann ihnen erklären, dass das total falsch ist.

Das ist ne Anspielung auf ein Meme/Trend, wo Frauen ihre Partner fragen, ob er sie noch lieben würde, wenn sie ein Wurm wäre. Das lässt die Partner meistens verwirrt zurück und die Frauen sind wütend, weil sie sich nicht geliebt fühlen.

Ich hingegen weiß, dass meine Frau mich noch lieben würde, wenn ich ein Wurm wäre, weil ich krankheitsbedingt nicht großartig von einem Wurm zu unterscheiden bin.
