Jellyfin: The Free Software Media System@lemmy.ml•Is there a plugin to sort films by letterboxd ratings?English
3·20 days agoSeems like you could use this: https://github.com/PirouzSR/jellyfin-letterboxd-ratings
You would need to use either the “Write to Critic Rating” setting (if you want to get rid of the Rotten Tomatoes rating and use Letterboxd instead) or the “Overwrite Community Rating” setting (if you’d prefer to get rid of the IMDB rating and use Letterboxd instead of that, which I think is what I’d do. IMDB ratings are so unreliable).
That plugin will add the Letterboxd rating to the end of the movie descriptions as well, but that can’t be used for sorting, whereas critic/community rating can be used to sort in all the official Jellyfin clients that I’ve tried out.

Electric Vehicles@slrpnk.net•U.S. automakers have backed away from electric vehicles, even as global sales are booming. The decision may make them obsolete.

Anime@lemmy.ml•Why do 1st episodes often end with the season's OP?English
10·1 month agoThis is a relatively recent trend, and it tends to be for anime where the premise isn’t obvious before you watch it. In other words, it’s typically to avoid spoilers. See, for example, Oshi No Ko, which bundled its first 3 episodes together and saved the OP reveal for the end in order to set up its premise.

I’ve been using the same 10+ year old 128G SSD for transcoding, cache, and metadata storage for like 6 years now across multiple tiny servers (as I’ve upgraded) with limited RAM. My current one has 16G of RAM, which is more than enough for JF, but not enough to store a whole movie transcode, let alone multiple at once. Refycled small old SSDs are a lot cheaper and easier to come by than RAM these days, that’s all I’m saying. No hate of course, your setup makes sense for what you have, I’m just saying my way is cheaper and more than fast enough for people just building their servers now.
tmpfs is overkill. I just use a crappy old 128G SSD and it’s still way faster than needed for all of my transcodes combined.
Anyway just my 2 cents.

I use a Grizzl-e Mini personally. Comes with adapters for every relevant type of plug in North America, and can be configured via both dip switches and software, so you can always be certain it will draw the right amperage.
