Sure, they exist, but they have the flaws outlined above.
Valve Index is still a damn good headset if you want to jump in. They leapfrogged everyone else and had the best one for a few years. Even if it’s been surpassed now, it doesn’t have the corporate issues that the others do.
I have to think it’ll stay an arcade and power user thing indefinitely. The full experience needs large, clear section of your house, and housing is getting more expensive. Break down your costs per sq ft and see that you’re paying an awful lot for it.
Games like Beat Saber don’t have to move around too much, but the experience will always be limited if games have to keep the player in one spot and can’t use room scale. That said, Beat Saber can be pretty decent cardio workout if you put effort into swinging your arms (as opposed to lazily flicking your wrists around). Sweat buildup on the headset can be an issue, though. Keep some alcohol wipes around.
Racing/airplane sim stuff is one of the best uses. People who are into that are willing to drop a lot of money.
Ethics mean we don’t know what the average human male erect penis size is.
No, really. The ethics of the studies say that a researcher can’t be in the presence of a sexually aroused erect penis. Having the testee measure their own penis is prone to error. There are ways to induce an erection with an injection, so they use that.
Is the size of an induced erection the same as a sexually aroused erection? Probably in the same ballpark, but we don’t really know.

IIRC, the steam release is based on a mobile port, and it’s bad. Maybe they fixed it since release, but I dunno.
PSX version added some anime cutscenes, which are nice. Problem is that loading times are horrible and happen as part of every battle.
I seem to remember the DS version being recommended. Otherwise, the SNES version is always good to find on the high seas.
It’s more approachable than most RPGs from the era. It has no random battles, and tends to avoid situations where you advance a character wrong and soft lock yourself. More hardcore RPG fans find it too easy, but it’s a classic for a reason.
Creationist love to bring up all the wonderful things in the world. They tend not to bring up things like the recurrent laryngeal nerve or bot flies.
In fact, I think they’re confused as to why science would even bring these up. If evolution is a religion (as they often claim), why would that religion point to something so weird or ugly? The answer is that evolution just is, and it does weird and ugly things sometimes. Our job is to study the weird and ugly things it makes while also finding a better moral system than mere evolution.
I’ve heard that phrase a handful of times now and it’s already making my eye twitch. Though I don’t think it’s meant to be complimentary.
He probably paid some fishing tourist shop to get him to just the right place so he could hook it and pull it in. That pic cost him money, and it’s really important to him.
Russia is more overt and aggressive. Historically, the US has a thousand sins that are more subtle.
It’s also one of the countries that was dumping its waste in Somali waters. France shouldn’t be ignored just because the US eclipses all other imperialisim in the world at the moment.
Those two deserve each other.
There are silver linings like this. The good news is that if we fight now, Trump will have destroyed a lot of the institutions (both domestic and foreign) that were holding back real progress. Clears the way to build better ones.
Some time ago, I heard a story of CS and Econ professors having lunch together. The Econ professor was excited that Excel was going to release a version that blew out the 64k row limit. The CS professor nearly choked on his lunch.
Dependence on Excel has definitely caused bad papers to be published in the Econ space, and has had real world consequences. There was a paper years ago that stated that once a country’s debt gets above 120% of GDP, its economy goes into a death spiral. It was passed around as established fact by the sorts of politicians who justify austerity. Problem was, nobody could reproduce the results. Then an Econ undergrad asked the original author for their Excel spreadsheet, and they found a coding error in the formulas. Once corrected, the conclusion disappeared.
There’s never going to be a better time to do this. Next election is a long time off. Making a clear statement of “establishment Democrats will either be dragged to the left or kept out in the cold” means they have to play. The potential downside of splitting the ticket and letting Republicans win by default is acceptable if establishment Dems are going to ignore their levers of power, anyway.
I know some people who actually use their pickup truck and wish they could get something smaller. It doesn’t exist anymore in the US.
It’s not even the often remarked “chicken tax”. That only prevents small trucks from foreign factories being imported in without a big extra cost attached. Factories in Canada and Mexico, via NAFTA, have been long exempt. US automakers have been free to make whatever small truck they want.
I am eyeing the Telo. I hope that works out.
Traditionally, vaccines are created using chicken eggs. We also have a bird flu epidemic that kills chickens.

Using mRNA was a way out of this predicament, but, yeah…
They’re arguing the planes were over international waters by the time the judge’s order went through. That’s bullshit, but it does imply they still want to have some kind of argument beyond “what are you going to do about it?”
Stop them here.
Yes, and they have the problems outlined above.
