All great recommendations here. But I’ve heard good things about PdfDing. I haven’t used it myself but have followed development since the developer is quite active.
Yeah photopea is sick
Yeah I used to pirate Adobe software religiously. Every version. Now I just use inkscape and suffer through the occasional GIMP session.
Honestly I don’t run pirated software at all anymore. The risk is too high. If it’s a game then I’m happy to pay for it, and open source software covers pretty much everything else for me.
The only exception is switch games but they run through an emulator which is quite safe.
Most media files are safe but I’ve heard that PDFs of all files can be vectors.
Yeah. If people stopped bugging me at work my productivity would 2x for sure.
Meanwhile my 110wpm on QWERTY is not exactly holding me back.
I’ve always wanted to use DVORAK but just don’t have the time to learn something so large and new (to me) at this stage of life. Gotta pick your battles.
I wonder fire it will do on pc
I thought dkms was recommended only for alternative kernels, and that nvidia or nvidia-open is what’s recommended generally.
Not what you’re asking about, but this guy was very inspirational for me wrt making latex diagrams easily.
Yeah I was just about to point that out for ya.

I teach this to my grade 9 class in Canada. It’s on the curriculum.
All vectors will be bitmaps when displayed on a screen.
Yeah but sometimes you want a circle in a bitmap.
Well it’s still a good idea to have shapes saved as vectors in a bitmap program. So resizing doesn’t affect the shape.
Yeah it’s not for everybody but the price is quite reasonable. You’re basically just paying for the bandwidth.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure a huge proportion of Lemmy users on the self hosting community run Linux, kind of a swing and a miss advertisement in these parts.
I have great memories renting N64s before I owned one.
