It is a reflection of the lack of integrity in the political systems of other countries that no sanctions have been imposed on the US in response to its brutal actions in Iran - this war is just as much a war of aggression in violation of international law as the one Russia is waging against Ukraine.

I don’t think that it’s a lack of integrity that’s resulted in sanctions not being applied against the US. We just wouldn’t be able to weather the financial consequences of sanctioning them.

Integrity is lacking but I don’t think that a government with 100% integrity would be able to afford to sanction the US.

I don’t think that Europe could start trading with Iran without backlash from the US.

Don’t their sanctions usually knock on to anyone who trades with the sanctioned country?

You have to trust the contract.

If you use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace etc then they already have all your data anyway. Most businesses have to trust other companies and the contract at some point.

The only other option is to use Open Source self hosted everything which is beyond most people’s ability.

If you’re a business with a contract with them it should state that they won’t use your data to train their models.

If you’re using the free service then you’re right that it’s safe to assume that your data was already being used.
