Selfhosted•GitHub - spacebarchat/spacebarchat: 📬 Spacebar is a free open source selfhostable discord compatible communication platformEnglish
223·1 day agoWhy would one use this rather than just using something like Matrix or self-hosted Stoat? I’m not sure what it being “Discord compatible” really gets this project. Bot compatibility is nice, but aren’t most Discord bots closed source anyway?
I’ve been using Hetzner boxes for my backups, although I did need to send them a copy of my id, which may or may not fit the paranoia thing.
Of course, encryption is always worth it.
You can’t entirely cure depression or anxiety. Even with support, you will have days where, due to the balance of neurotransmitters or whatever, you’ll feel like shit even though you have no real reason to.
A big milestone I hit while managing my anxiety and depression was realising that having bad days is just a fact of life, not a sign that I was failing myself.
So how are you going to fund this “global media campaign”?

By which I mean add buttplug.io support.
Until recently they didn’t have support for alternate keyboard layouts, but that seems to have been fixed in 6.6. Tried it again, and there’s a few missing theming features such as window decorations being adwaita-ey and my cursor theme not working.
Cinnamon user here. I wish I could use Wayland. ;_;

7·15 days agoIf you’re going to add Mint repos anyway, why not just use LMDE or Mint instead of Debian? It probably would avoid strange version mismatch issues.

Help.
Out of an abundance of caution, I’d recommend against taking any medication while recovering from surgery or going to a checkup that requires numbing stuff.
Who knows what interactions or side effects it could have?

2510·19 days agoHonest comment: Bitsocial sounds an awful lot like Truth Social.
If that comparison is unintentional and not desired, maybe reconsider the name.
If that is intentional, we are probably not your target audience.
