This one has been slow but steady. I feel like it would be all too easy to get sidetracked with all the side characters and progress grinds to a halt. This is what eventually killed my interest in Komi-san for example. But this series has tread that line pretty carefully.

A tale as old as time…the cat will enjoy the box that the toy came in more than the toy itself. My cats took weeks to actually use their beds.

These two are perfectly in sync it seems. Great chapter.

I am going to defer to @[email protected]’s judgement that this is a spoiler and not use it. I am a couple episodes behind at this point, so I can’t really say myself. :)

Alright, the author is just taking the piss at this point.

This prince character is actually really interesting. The way his love for her is twisted into hurting her kind of makes him into a yandere-type character. I kind of hope we see more of him.

This is an interesting side to the prince. He also has his own (less cool) version of Nero.

OK, I’m not crazy. When these two characters showed up in the anime I was confused. I thought that perhaps my memory was just really bad. Instead, they just rearranged the story (and tweaked it a bit).

I know that it won’t ever be super popular, but as far as adaptations go, the anime has been a great one. The budget is low, but the changes to the story order and pacing have been big improvements over a straight adaptation.

Something that I do appreciate about this series is just how many different interpretations of justice are on display. Everybody’s actions are just from their own point of view.

Props to the TL for “old ass man” and making that pun work.

This is the proper reaction. I remember when I first saw the tags I was confused, but it just kept getting weirder and weirder.

I have no idea how he is going to interpret these scripts he has found. But I do know how Akira’s mom is going to interpret his still being there if he’s found out. Akira’s life is on the edge of a knife right now.
