1·12 hours agoThe Duquesne Incline funicular looks nothing like the photo associated with this post which has strange circular or cylindrical cars.
The photo is of the Stoosbahn, near Stoos, Switzerland.
It’s the steepest funicular in the world.
Good job! I can practically smell them through the internet, and they smell delicious!
That blue check is the mark of quality, and that quality is desperation.

It’s commentary on the “chat”'s online parasocial relationships to streamers, and the artifice behind the “show”.
All shown by taking us 5 minutes into the future.
For me, it really captures something that is happening right now.
This is actually much better than I expected.
The MC’s crippling shyness is worse than anything I’ve ever seen, but I can relate to it.
The checklist from the stupidly awful “how to make friends” self help book that he’s slavishly following is cleverly being used as episode titles.
From the MC reading the manual in a couple of minutes, and running off with the prototype robot, to calling out attacks, it’s a subtle love fest for giant robot tropes.
The animation is really interesting. The characters are all computer graphics, but they are expressive and have lots of personality.
The OP isn’t bad, but the ED is a rocking earworm, IMO.
Not far back enough.

Having skipped a lot of shows last year, i.e. not being familiar with any of the nominees, it’s a tough decision between HAYASii and rap gods Creepy Nuts, but I have to go with how rockin’ HAYASii’s song is.

3·2 days agoTl;dr The Middle East is a major export destination for California walnut exports. The Iran war has disrupted logistics, stranding walnut shipments at multiple ports across the globe.
It’s kind of well known that the southern-most blocks of Kherson city is not safe for civilians due to being within range of Russian drones flying in from across the river for civilian safari hunts.
The locals know this and have mostly evacuated, and avoid going there unless necessary.
If you look at the Kanji for “uchuujin” which usually is translated to “aliens”, the Kanji actually says “space people” or “Universe people”
Since Planet Earth is in space, or the Universe, we are actually all “space people” by definition, since we don’t know about anything outside the Universe.
