True crime, unsolved mysteries, disappearances, disasters, survival stories and strange history from around the world: illustrated case files written from named, checkable sources.

Topics include cold cases, impostors and identity mysteries, survival against the odds, aviation and maritime disasters, fires and everyday places that turned deadly, Cold War incidents, ancient and historical mysteries, legends and folklore, lost places, and cases from Asia, India and beyond that are little known in English.

Many files come with a narrated audio version, like a true crime podcast episode you can play on a long drive.

New files every few days from Strange World Files. Illustrations are AI-assisted reconstructions, not photographs.
