Daikon goes boom. Pak choi is on the way up with it. Gotta solve my soil issues before I put these down. Speaking of soil issues, I probably gotta start over on my squash bed. Nothing looks too happy in there and instead of watching it die a slow death, I’m just gonna direct sow everything after I get some amendments in with it.

In the mean time, I’m just watching these guys revive some hope for a summer harvest

    You start your roots inside?

I placed my radishes and carrots together in a bowl and than put them in rows, this year I am disregarding rows and was planning on broadcasting them in one bed, but I also want parsnips and trying to figure out if I can do the same since they are a frost harvest.

The radishes protect the carrots while they germinate and are harvested before the carrots need the space, it also aerates and loosens the soil for the carrots.

I usually wouldn’t be doing anything inside at all by now, but some stuff slipped away on me

Figured I’d give myself a leg-up while I spot-ammend over the week. Usually radishes and spinach go together for me and are direct-sow

Additional fun fact: diakon are my go-to for clay busting over large areas. Grow them as cover then just till them in when you start bed prep
