I’m not sure if this is the right community for this question, but it says “no stupid question” so here goes. I’m an Israeli who now lives in the US, but I am considering permanently residing in the US or elsewhere (perhaps somewhere in Europe or Canada) because I’ve become kinda disillusioned with Israel for a variety of reasons (the war in Gaza being one of them, the erosion of democracy by Likud being another, and etc) but is that cowardly to leave? Should I go back and try to change society or should I just leave for good? Thanks for your time.

Here in Israel we’re fighting tooth and nails against our faschist cahanist masianic corupt government - more than America ever did against the faschists taking over their country.

Just last weekend more than 200000 people were protesting, while 24/7 there are actions taken.

For your question, it’s you who need to make the choice, eventually. Unfortunately the stage of brain drain has already begone, and even I had some thoughts to leave. So it’s totaly understandable

Bullshit. 70% of you are directly complicit through service.

Having ever served in the IDF does NOT make one complicit. I assume that’s how you get 70%. In fact the ultra orthodox don’t serve bot ARE largely complicit.

Yes, the ultra Orthodox are very complicit and they are directly protected by the IDF. There are moral Israelis who refuse to serve and pay the consequences. 70% voluntarily protect the settlers and perform other atrocities.

How does Israel treat former Nazis? Why shouldn’t former IDF members be treated the same?

right, and what, you’re recommending that the conscripted, who are in the fascist institution fascists turn to for inspiration (THE MILITARY) - do what exactly? disobey orders? not very good advice there, friendosaurus
