I totally agree that e-bikes are a great thing when they’re owned by people, but those public ones have a lifespan of like 3 months. I’ve seen some reports that scooters are even less. The batteries also get dumped into rivers by assholes. I absolutely love my bike, don’t get me wrong, but my city is infested with those stupid Lime scooters and e-bikes that just get left around like trash and are never collected or recharged. If everyone had their own bike, and took care of it, that would be awesome :)
