It is practically the same proposal that Hamas accepted a few weeks back and was rejected by Israel, only to then storm into Rafah and commit more heinous atrocities with the support of the US.

Trying to flip the script now is a shameless attempt to portray genocidal Israel once again as the good guys, who graciously decided to not continue their “self defense” against evil savages.

And quite frankly Biden this is not enough. We need guarantees that Israel won’t storm in again and continue their genocide. We need guarantees that Gaza and the Westbank will be rebuild. We need guarantees that Israeli war criminals will be surrendered to the ICC especially the ones in the government. We need guarantees that all settlements in the Westbank will be destroyed and the land will be given back. We need a recognition of a Palestinian state as full member to the UN by the US.

We cannot accept going back to the status quo of slow ethnic cleansing and slow genocide by the terrorist state of Israel.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I was under the impression that the key difference between the two is that the proposal by hamas wanted to negotiate dead hostages for living hostages.

Either way, I agree with the rest. These cease fires are a facade because neither side trusts the other to keep it and so they dont keep to it themselves. There is no trust. There needs to be more than pinky promises to guarantee the end of this genocide.
