Introduction

Below is a list of transfer rumours for possible incoming transfers during the summer transfer window of 2024, along with some key pieces of information. ‘Liklihood’ is based on information at the time of last review, and brief reasoning is given for each rumour. But ultimately it’s purely subjective.

Possibly out-bound players are limited to those who have seen some first team minutes. The line for exclusion for the list is fuzzy right now (Patino is on it Biereth is not). But it might get changed as we go along. Confirmed out includes all confirmed players, including Academy players who have been released.

The aim is for this list to be updated every couple of days. Information will be pulled from the daily discussion threads, along with other sources.

• Likelihood: Possible (6/10) ➖ - Reliable sources indicate the player is interested. He has a bit of an reputation for injuries, so he’d fit right in with us!

• Likelihood: Possible (4/10) ➖ - Still lots of time on his current contract, but Porto need to sell some players. However, he wouldn’t be cheap at around 70m, which is a lot for a back-up.

• Likelihood: Unlikely (3/10) 🆕 - Had one good season at Girona and we are apparently interested in him. Though a fee of 40m might be a bit steep for a player who is unproven in the PL.

• Likelihood: Unlikely (2/10) ➖ - The former spuds academy graduate did well at CP last season, but at 25 he doesn’t seem like an upgrade on our own Reiss Nelson. And sources for this rumour have not been especially reliable.

• Likelihood: Possible (5/10) ➖ - Barcelona needs to sell this summer and might be tempted to part with the young defender.

• Current club: Monaco
• Likelihood: Possible (4/10) 🔼 - But not many reliable sources at the current time.

Conor Gallagher

• Positions: Midfield
• Current club: Chelsea
• Likelihood: Unlikely (1/10) 🆕 - rumour from a less than reliable source that we are interested in signing him and that Chelsea might want to sell him. But the player doesn’t want to leave. And realistically, CHelsea wouldn’t sell one of their crown jewel players.

• Current club: Crystal Palace
• Likelihood: Unlikely (2/10) 🆕 - Long been talk of him leaving Palace and moving to a bigger club, and of us being in the mix. But we don’t really need another CB, while several other clubs do need to shore up that position.

• Likelihood: Unlikely (2/10) 🆕 - Has looked good in the Euros, so of course rumours linking him to us have begun. But his club letting him go at this point does not seem Realistic.

• Current club: Newcastle
• Likelihood: Possible (5/10) 🔼 - Newcastle don’t want to lose him, but he seems more likely to go than Isak. A ‘player + cash’ might be floated. However, Man City and other PL clubs also seem interested in him.

• Likelihood: Possible (4/10) ➖ - The young Mexican impressed at Feyenoord last season and has now entered the rumour mill as a possible target for us.

• Likelihood: Possible (5/10) ➖ - Been frequently linked. But seems other strikers are higher on our transfer list, and he’s fallen off the transfer rumours radar recently.

• Likelihood: Unlikely (3/10) 🔽 - Not that we really need another centreback, but rumours have it that Arteta is very keen on Hato. However, the player has said he plans on staying at Ajax next season.

• Likelihood: Unlikely (3/10) ➖ - Newcastle do not want to lose their prized striker and will try to price him out of the market.

• Likelihood: Possible (5/10) ➖ - Not many solid sources, but rumour has it the player is open to a move to us and that talks might be ongoing.

• Likelihood: Possible (4/10) ➖ - Player is apparently keen on a move to us and is currently in contract limbo at Bayern. But his price would likely be a little high for arguably a squad player, and he’s more of a right back and we’re looking more for left backs.

• Likelihood: Possible (4/10) 🔽 - He’s a long-time target of Arteta. But rumours are that Villa and Juventus have a deal for him brewing.

• Likelihood: Possible (4/10) 🆕 - New rumour on this list, but it’s been simmering out there for quite a while. He has all the skills to make him a great fit for us. He also has the terrifying injury record. Wolves will be reluctant to let him go, but surely would for a high price.

• Likelihood: Possible (4/10) 🔽 - Benfica is keen to keep him, and he’s now being targeted by Man City.

• Likelihood: Possible (6/10) 🔼 - Everton have said their whole squad is available for the right price due to finance constraints. And rumours are that we are planning to go in for him.

• Likelihood: Possible (5/10) ➖- Player sounds interested in a move to us, and he’s moved up our transfers list now that Sesko isn’t available. But his high release clause could be a stumbling block.

• Likelihood: Likely (10/10) ➖ - The chances of him not joining us permanently after a successful season on loan at the Emirates are basically nil.

• Likelihood: Possible (6/10) ➖ - There have been rumours that Arteta and team have liked him for a while. And he’s probably jumped up the priority list now that Sesko is unavailable, though the usual suspects are also interested in him.

• Likelihood: Possible (4/10) 🔽 - This rumour has been rumbling on for months. The young winger is wanted by several big clubs. But he’s been reticent to discuss his future until after the Euros, and allegedly he has very high wage demands.

• Likelihood: Possible (4/10) 🆕 - Current contract is a mess so we’d probably only be looking at a season-long loan. Attacking midfield doesn’t seem to be one of our primary positions to strengthen, but rumours (from somewhat dodgy sources) are that we’re interested.

• Likelihood: Unlikely (3/10) 🔽 - Large agent fee might hinder a deal, player seems lukewarm to the move. Plus, Man United are hell-bent on signing him.

• Likelihood: Possible (4/10) - Highly regarded by Arteta, but might be available for the right price.

Jakub Kiwior

• Positions: Left Back, Central Defence
• Likelihood: Unlikely (3/10) - Coveted by some Italian teams, but seems happy and gets regular minutes.

Albert Sambi Lokonga

• Positions: Midfield
• Likelihood: Likely (8/10) - Failed to live up to expectations, and wants to move on. Luton would love to sign him permanently, but wages and fee seem an issue.

Reiss Nelson

• Positions: Right Wing
• Likelihood: Possible (6/10) - Not close to getting into the starting XI and probably won’t develop any further. Not many rumours of interested parties though.

Eddie Nketiah

• Positions: Striker
• Likelihood: Likely (7/10) - Widely expected to be moved on for the right price, especially if we bring in a new striker. Fulham, Palace or Ipswich are rumoured destinations for him.

Charlie Patino

• Positions: Midfield
• Likelihood: Likely (9/10) - Contract is ending and player wants to move on.

Thomas Partey

• Positions: Defensive Midfield
• Likelihood: Likely (7/10) - Wants to stay and might require a large fee, but has been hindered by injuries, has fallen down the pecking order, and seems coveted by Saudi clubs.

Aaron Ramsdale

• Positions: Goalkeeper
• Likelihood: Likely (7/10) - Displaced for starting keeper by Raya and too good to rot on the bench. But there are not many suitors due to his price and wages.

David Raya

• Positions: Goalkeeper
• Likelihood: Unlikely (1/10) - Technically not our player yet as he’s been on loan to us. But the chances of him leaving are basically nil.

Emile Smith Rowe

• Positions: Left Wing, Attacking Midfield
• Likelihood: Possible (5/10) - Too good to rot on the bench, but progress hampered by injuries. He has suitors, but he might be kept around, especially if Vieira leaves.

Nuno Tavares

• Positions: Left Back
• Likelihood: Likely (8/10) - Failed to live up to expectations. But not many suitors have emerged.

Kieran Tierney

• Likelihood: Likely (7/10) - Doesn’t fit into Arteta’s style of play but too good to sit on the bench. But there are not many suitors due to his price and wages.
