She is not an independent candidate, she did not come to power via a coup. She is a veteran politician who played by the rules established before her and emerged the victor of a blatantly crooked game. People simply do not want to accept it because she is a woman.
I mean, the bleak thing is that the world works through people making deals with murderers to not be murdered, instead allowing other people to be murdered.
