Sharing your opinion isn’t the same as “forcing your answer.” You can’t expect other people to treat you the way you want to be treated if you aren’t willing to engage in open conversation.

Some people like having their nuts stepped on but I’m not doing that to everyone I meet.
So maybe it’s less about treating people they way you want to be treated, and more about treating people they way they want to be treated?
