Photos by Charon Comeau

As photographers we focus on the perfect shot, myself included, always looking for that perfect picture! I was focused on the baby at the top because he was a clear shot! I decided to zoom out and take in the whole picture. Dad and three owlets (back when they were about 8 weeks old). The fourth owlet was above them and mom was in a tree just out of the frame.

I try hard to keep my name as a “seal of quality” for posts here, so I try to get everything from sources I’ve come to trust.

There are things like stacked images I’ve been learning about, which start to polarize people already even before we get to fully generated images.

First nature photos, I feel there is enough natural beauty as it is. Want to fix a glare, get a stubborn leaf or tree branch out of the picture, ok. I still feel the photographer should say when they add or remove something if they’re presenting it as a real photo. Transparency is going to become more and more important in an age of computer generated content as we blur the lines more of editing vs fabrication.

Tl;dr - I’m glad you enjoyed the photo!
