The top text reworks Winston Churchill’s “we shall fight on the beaches” speech and the bottom text draws on a phrase from a poem by Kipling that was re-contextualised for WW1, although here it does double duty referencing the soldiers he left behind and as a reminder when it comes time to vote in the upcoming General Election.
