I think an a new street from Broadmead to the Bear Pit would help make Stokes Croft feel more connected to the rest of town. The buildings proposed are pretty uninspired and look like every other new block of flats.

Also included in the plans is a two-storey community building which the architects and developers say they want to be a library or health centre.

Lol, if the developers think Bristol Council is about to pay for a new library they need to pay more attention to local politics.

When I was a kid, riding up and down the Debenhams escalators was exciting but I suppose that’s probably not a good enough reason to keep them around!
