Cargo ebike pioneer Tern has launched a new family friendly model called the Quick Haul Long, which takes much from the company's premium GSD hauler, but serves it up in a more affordable package.
Those back seats with railings feel like a broken leg waiting to happen if the bike tips over. Long johns seem so much safer for kids. Bikes shouldn’t restrict leg movement. Even standard child seats have better fall protection since they have those high backs.
I really don’t understand why bakfiets aren’t more popular here in the US, or at least why they aren’t at least starting to become more available. I’ve got a Lectric longtail now, but if somebody came out with an affordable bakfiets I’d upgrade in a heartbeat.
