This comment made me decide to go look up casualty rates in the global war on terror. Grim stuff - ours are decidedly better at killing instead of dying, but it’s still a massive catastrophe whenever young men decide it’s fine and normal to go to war.

The AFU Claimed 409,820 russian losses (180,000 killed) as at feb 2024. with total losses about to pass 550,000 as of yesterday

You overestimate Russian Army competency way too much… if they even cared how many people died
