Now, say that guy and others are voting to create a new system that takes the system of free and fair elections away from others. Then is it fair to let them implement that system when we know it’s counter to what the actual goal of democracy is? It’s the argument of allowing hate speech to exist in a world of free speech.

Not voting is actually considered a political decision, especially if you feel disenfranchised in a system where neither candidate appeals to you. I’m a big proponent of compulsory voting, and Voting Day being a national holiday is a natural consequence of such a system.
We really need to push this along side ranked choice voting (or another third-party friendly system). Also critical thinking skills in all schools.
