He can say he loves project 2025, then say he’s never heard of it and his base just take it as a secret message to fuck shit up because trump is “just pretending it doesn’t exist to play the politics”. He can randomly spew X person is callling the shots at any time to send the media on a rampage.
There needs to be accountability, there was a time where politicians pretended they weren’t lying/gaslighting/ragebaiting/sealioning/dogwhistling or whatever, Trump brought all these to normalcy.
A news station would have to run back to back videos of him saying something and then lying about it for a month or so. Everyone is desensitized to it. It isn’t shocking, it’s expected. They’d have to relegate all other news to the ticker to cover anything other than his lies.
And you know what? Half the country would still vote for him.
On top of that, he’s been over covered already and his base believes anything that is said about him must be an attack on him.
The number of people who are voting for him who have no idea he said that whole “suspend the constitution” bit would blow your mind. Look up videos of supporters being asked what they think of the line before being told Trump said it. They either don’t care or they refuse to believe it.
