Sean Murray traditionally teases No Man’s Sky news with a single emoji tweet, but he’s also used the “world” emoji in posts about Light No Fire’s open world.

Keep your eyes open for potential news in the next few days!

Jeez, Cyberpunk also undelivered at launch and both are good games now.

On top of that Hello Games released free game updates ever since, if that doesn’t redeem the game, nothing will.

If you bought something like a new instrument or TV and realize when you get home that it’s broken, would you forgive and respect the seller if they promised to fix it over the course of 8 years???

Edit: can’t wait for EssTeeYou to ban me along with everyone else with The Wrong Opinion ™ lmao

Congrats on being the first person to not be banned from the community when you thought you would be.

You would refund it and move on with your life like any sane human being. Most people wouldn’t hold a grudge because they got over promised and under delivered on a video game nearly a decade before.

I don’t think anyone is defending the launch state of NMS in contrast to what Sean Murray was promising, but it has been pretty clear for a long time that Sean was not trained on pre-release community interaction, got caught up in the excitement of the hype-machine, and way oversold the state of the game. They have since had between 20 and 30 FREE major updates and have turned it into a decent and unique game that tons of players love.

What more do you people want?

Like the Cybertruck? Yeah I’d return that shit back and buy something else until they fix it.

I refunded No Man’s Sky on Steam shortly after release and bought it for cheap later when they released a couple of updates.

That’s reasonable, but the question wasn’t what you’d do. It’s if you’d still respect the person who sold it to you while knowing it wasn’t what they told you it was.

In his case I did, because actions speaks louder than words and he worked hard to fix the rushed release.
