This is single needle prison or backyard ink. No respectable tattoo artist would do this and it wouldn’t look so faded. I have full sleeves and like the art form. But this ain’t it.
The tattoo is obviously shitty for a dozen reasons, but do you seriously think it’s done? It looks pretty clear that this is just the outline and it will be colored later. You don’t get a full back tattoo in one sitting.

I guess you could be right. I’ve seen prison tattoos that were finished that were way worse than this.
My thought was that this is well done for a prison tat.
