I asked if people chose iPhone for the blue bubbles elsewhere a couple days ago, and while there was some good discourse on that post, the blue bubbles definitely also came up as a reason.

In my experience, when people find out my texts are green, they oftentimes would rather switch to a different platform altogether like Instagram or just not text at all.

Is this actually a deal-breaker in friendships out there?

In what world are Samsung’s half the price for comparable features? The S23+ is on par with features and almost the exact same starting price. Sure, you can get much cheaper Samsungs. But you can also get a second hand iPhone for a good price bc they get updates for so long.

I didn’t say comparable features. I said same thing, which is a more generalized term. For things I would use, samsung is cheaper. I also don’t have an S23+ because the phone I have is fine.

My wants and needs are not yours, so we would not require the same item. But if you have no reason to need an iPhone, why pay the price for it? That is what I’m really asking here. Communication is difficult for me and asking direct questions is apparently rude, so I end up saying the wrong things. Apologies.

I upgraded from an iPhone 8 to a 13 Pro. I’m into amateur photography and the amount I can do with my phone now, that I don’t have to grab my camera for, makes it worth it to me. Apple does definitely have an issue with making lower end phones that are affordable though. But for me, I get a flagship every 4-5 years and that suits me. I can’t fathom people that upgrade a phone this expensive every year or two.

Edit: Also, thank you for the apology. I did get a bit heated in my first reply so I’m sorry as well.
