PeerTube is fantastic with its decentralized model that prioritizes user privacy and control. However, it still struggles to gain widespread popularity.

      I’m not sure about that. Adblocks have already been around for a very long time.

      Given that streaming services seem to be converting to an ad-supported model, I doubt that YouTube would go subscription based only.
