Speed limit on busy Route 3 is going up

MassDOT increased the speed limit from 55 mph to 65 mph along the stretch of roadway along the Route 3 corridor to New Hampshire.

    I don’t drive that route very often (if ever) so I don’t know how bad it was, but I do feel like the speed limits in boston are kind of low. Is there concrete data suggesting that low speed limits are good? Does traffic not improve with higher speeds?

      I couldn’t say. I haven’t driven the speed limit in ages. I zoom along with the “fast” bunch.
