Ultima 7 is an excellent game, and it allowed you to inhabit a world in the same way the Elder Scrolls series copied later. The hardest part about it for years was just getting it running, but it’s much easier with Exult.
The Ultima series deserves proper faithful isometric remakes, but EA seems to have zero interest in ever revisiting it (outside of bastardizing the brand for a cash grab Facebook game over a decade ago).
