OFFICIAL CONGRATULATIONS TO PRESIDENT NICOLÁS MADURO

American Communist Party (ACP)

July 29, 2024

The American Communist Party extends our congratulations toward Nicolas Maduro and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela on their victory in the 2024 Venezuelan presidential elections. The outcome of the elections is a resounding victory for the cause of socialism, sovereignty, and anti-imperialism throughout both the Americas and the world.

This victory further validates the emerging multipolar world, despite the futile attempts by the criminal U.S. regime to halt its progress. Venezuela’s unique adaptation of socialism to the Americas has shown the country to be a leading force in the development of regionally based economic systems and governance, courageously defying Washington’s unilateral, so-called “rules-based” world order. Venezuela’s path towards independent and sovereign development has faced significant challenges. We admire the resilience of the Venezuelan people and leadership, who have recovered from both the economic turmoil and political instability imposed upon them by the criminal U.S. regime.

Despite fighting 930 U.S. sanctions, Venezuela has managed to reign in runaway inflation from 36,000% to 90% and acquired near-total food sovereignty under the leadership of President Maduro. Today, the country boasts the highest annual GDP growth in the region according to the IMF.

Furthermore, Venezuela has made tremendous strides in safeguarding its robust democratic process from foreign meddling and unconstitutional coup attempts. In response, the forces of U.S. imperialism have launched widespread astroturfed disinformation campaigns across both corporate and social media, attempting to question the integrity of Venezuela’s presidential elections. American Communist Party Executive Board members Jackson Hinkle and Carlos Garrido were invited to observe the elections by Venezuela’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visiting over a dozen polling sites around Caracas. These included both Chavista and opposition-controlled neighborhoods. Both Hinkle and Garrido, working independently and neutrally, found the elections to be even more safe, secure and transparent than U.S. elections.

We fully reject attempts by the criminal U.S. regime, alongside its regional proxies, to violate the sovereignty of Venezuela. We extend our warm congratulations and solidarity to the Venezuelan people for their strength and defiance in righteously exercising their will as a nation, despite being under siege by U.S. imperialism.

As the American Communist Party, we are deeply inspired by this resilience, as we encourage the American people themselves to muster a similar courage in the face of the same criminal U.S. regime.

Yeah thanks for being an ideological colonizer and explain to me, a Venezuelan, the difference between the party of Chavez PSUV and the traditional Communist Party PCV.

What’s not lost here is that this -so called- communist party, that is not the CPUSA, diverts from the guys on the ground in Venezuela the PCV.

Additionally, declaring this is a good thing without pondering that, 3 days after the elections, there are no published results nor detail of where and how this win came to happen is downright a denial of basic election rights and sincerely more fascist than communist.

Thanks for your opinion, It did not seem like you knew the difference between PSUV and PCV, so I made sure to point that out to others that don’t follow Venezuelan news.

I look at different sources, independent media and independent journalists, not just state and the owner-class media, so it is understandable why we differ in opinion.

They still haven’t released the results, the ultimate truth is the voice of the people where it clearly shows Maduro lost, take a look at local leaders in south America calling for the tallies, even Lula and Petro.

Yeah, do all the independent media you want but don’t overlook Maduro, and his thugs, are turning Venezuelan mock of leftism into what new generations will grow to have as a reference because of this guy.
