You either aren’t hiring productive employees, or you’re too eager to terminate under-performing employees. That didn’t matter in The Apprentice, because people view firing people as authoritative behavior, and they love it.
So when Vance backs down (and he will because he’s toxic to Trump’s approval rating), it will be presented as Trump smartly firing his inferior running mate in favor of a superior job candidate.
