I don’t blame Downey for accepting the job, but it just seems like there’s such brainrot out there at Disney that they have no good ideas. I’m sure the line of reasoning went:
Marvel movies did really good when Downey was in the movies
Marvel movies/shows aren’t doing as good now
People like Robert Downey Jr
Therefore, if we bring back Robert Downey Jr again, people will like Marvel stuff again.
When really, it’s the shitty writing that is turning people off. Bringing back Downey isn’t going to fix their core issue.
