That implied, to my subjective reasoning, that the commentor thought it was somehow inferior to whatever version of competitive gun-shooting they prefer. If your subjective reasoning led you to believe “boring as hell” meant “really, really hard,” that’s something you’ll have to settle with you and your brain, friend.

Americans place really well in IPSC, USPSA, and 3gun.
The IPSC rifle world shot is happening right now in Finland.
