on android long pressing links just “drags” them as if there was some place i could drop them, but i have found no such place.
i think a much more straightforward and useful feature would be to just offer to copy or open the link externally

yea that is nice, although i imagine the preview is handled by the os
I think it’s all provided by the OS or possibly Safari? I get basically the same thing with links in Safari:
