minus-squareThe Menemen!link1•2 months agoDon’t know about the police. I was comparing inside turkey, where there is the Police for urban areas and the Jandarma (Gendarmerie) for rural areas.
Compared to what it takes to become a policeman in the US, it’s definitely a higher level of training. Hard to find a direct US equivalent.
