There are one or two in my home town, I spotted one coming out of a country club. Not just any country club but one of the most expensive ones in the region. So, no doubt he bought it for truck things. Just average every day truck things, definitely not a trophy.

Fucking hell it’s uglier in person.

Same here. You really can’t explain it, you just have to see it

I love in Sacramento and I see several every single day. They are a blight on our community. Saw a fucking bright pink one the other day.

The wheel placement is off compared to other trucks. Because the battery pack runs between the wheels the wheels are pushed out to the very edges of the body. However traditionally trucks, especially on the rear axel, have a bit of hang over due to the axel placement for maximum payload.

It is about the front wheel not beeing in the middle of the fender. Why are you talking about the bed?

It is not off compared to other trucks. Its just off. And reasoning this with the battery - they could just align the fender anyway. So wtf??

Tesla engineers and even musk have all talked extensively about the wheels being pushed to the edges of their vehicles specifically because of the battery pack. It creates a longer wheelbase for battery storage capacity and creates a more skateboard like architecture for them to build upon. The safest place for batteries is stored between the wheels as that’s the cabin structure.

My rationale in talking about the bed is also because it’s off from the traditional truck layout. This isn’t a typical body on frame truck and so it has more design ideology that makes it look awkward. The person I responded to said they’ve seen them in person and the wheel placement seems off. There’s no indication they’re talking about front only.

So they couldn’t build their idea with the aimed capabilities and just moved the axles further apart if I understand you correctly.

Sounds like they were on a budget. But great for them bringing it to production!

I’ve seen one in person, it was in motion, I recognized the silhouette. The wheels struck me as weirdly big. looked like a toy that wasn’t quite proportioned right.

I saw someone post a picture of it next to some generic “crossover,” you know how life forms all eventually turn into crabs? They call it carcinification? Well cars apparently crossoverify. So it’s a Cyber Truck sitting next to a Lexus fuk60 or whatever and someone says “PS1 graphics vs PS5 graphics” and it’s true.
